In 1990 the Mid-Centurians began furnishing their "Back-to-the-Fifties" room by shopping garage sales, thrift stores, second hand stores, antique stores, and later eBay. They continue to search today for "treasures" including Relco mosaic-finish ceramics, Universal Statuary ethnic figural chalkware, unusual Hyalyn ashtrays, black wire and chalkware wall sculpture, unique TV lamps, and Mirro Medallion aluminum ware.
